Thumbtack has been an "Excellent" addition to my company. Not even a day after creating my company profile, I got a lead, Thanks Thumbtack -Pensacola,Florida-
Most of the leads I'm getting are really late and even the requests for service are even late !

I agree with Marvin....The leads I get seem to have a bunch of hits before I even open them and the responses have been little to none. My company is one of the highest ranking companies on thumbtack in our area and we keep a very close eye on our e-mail. However, we have had people call us who saw us on thumbtack and even booked one job just to have it cancelled later, but we are definitely getting closer and have not lost faith in Thumbtack just yet.

Heather, I've gotten 2 "leads" from you guys. One was 20 miles outside my service area and one was for a service that's WAY different from what I do (and again, way outside my service area.)
What's up with that? How do you qualify your "leads"??????????

Thanks for getting in touch.
First, we're not perfect. So it's very possible that you'll receive a lead that isn't perfect for you. The best we can suggest in those cases is to just ignore the lead, or rather click the button in the email that indicates that you're not interested.
And regarding the location issue - we base the leads off of the location settings in your account. So if you have chosen 'I will travel 40 miles', we will send you any leads that are within a 40 mile radius of the address we have on file for you. Maybe your radius is set too high?

How do I edit my pictures (or any of my profile data)?
Then click 'Edit listing' under 'Manage your listing' on the right side of the page.
That should show you all the options to edit your profile.

I have had 3 or 4 contacts from Thumbtack and never got the first call or email or any thing back from any customer the only thing I got was a email from Thumbtack saying they got the money

I are used to get jobs from thumbtack.com all the time and then you introduced this leads program where you have to pay for the lead and I've barely gotten any work ever since-- in fact I haven't gotten any work from thumbtack since this started several months ago what is going on?

I just took a look at your account, and it looks like you're getting about the same number of leads now as you were previously.
Sorry it sounds like the ones recently haven't been working out very well. Do you know about our refund policy?
We have worked hard to establish a generous refund policy for bad leads.
We will fully refund your payment - no questions asked - if you don't hear from the potential customer within a week after sending your message, if you learn that they never intended to have the job done by anyone, or if you learn that the job was done by someone outside of Thumbtack.
We would never keep a charge on a job that turned out to be a bogus lead.
