Thumbtack will get you bids within 24-48 for any job you need done in the entire United States. Simply post your request here.
We'll personally contact the providers for you, who will then get in touch with you. We have access to providers that do not appear in our listings, and we will find you someone for your job - even if you don't see them listed on our site.

I looked on a local contractors website and got switched to Thumbtack. Does this mean that he uses Thumbrack or will I hear from him also?
I can't be sure without seeing the actual listing - but he probably uses Thumbtack. And with any luck he'll respond to your inquiry promptly, whether you sent it to him directly via the contact info on his website or through Thumbtack.
