Let us know if this is something you'd like to see. Also let us know which sites you'd like to import reviews from.

Linked in import would be awesome! it's hard enough to get testimonials and asking people to join yet another service just to do you a favor is near impossible. This feature would be VERY helpful.

Or minimize the amount of hoops someone giving a review has to jump through (i.e no need to register, giver personal info, etc)

Definitely would like to see this and agree that they shouldn't need to register.

I collect my own testimonials because I haven't been able to find a site that I liked enough to do it for me. I send a link whenever someone pays me as part of my payment confirmation. Even just being able to do that would be a good start.

I have half of my reviews here and half on Facebook then I cut and paste them to my website. It would be nice to be able to import them from facebook.

I have gotten great testimonials from my clients and they are listed on my website already. I really am not willing to ask these same people to write yet another testimonial for the Thumbtack site, so yes, I'd love to be able to import them from my website, as soon as possible. Thanks.

LOL I just posted this same question without reading down the page a little farther, it would be awesome if we could import testimonials to this site from another. I would second the weddingwire vote above since I have a lot for my www.bluewavephotoweddings.com site and it would be helpful for the citations to show up in google.

So, once they click the Write a Testimonial link, will it prompt them to register first and provide info instead of writing testimonials right away?

Hi Sol,
I think that's the way it works, yes.
I know it can be a pain for users to register, but we want to provide at least some basic verification that the testimonial is real and not just an anonymous, bogus comment.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks Sol!

I understand that Heather and it's a very valid concern. It's obvious that most reviews, testimonials out there are fake.
Although we have a virtually 100% satisfaction rate for our service it's still not easy to get people to actually log in and post reviews. We are late bloomers with catching on to and utilizing online resources, and are now trying to play catch up while we learn all of the ins and outs. It is a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with it all and trying to stay involved with all of the different options; such as Google, Facebook, Twiitter, Linkedin, and of course, Thumbtack. We think our priority has to be Google as that is the most used source for searches. Yelp removes reviews if you don't purchase a subscription so we have nothing to do with the carry on with that site.
I want to subscribe to a membership with Thumbtack but I would prefer to discuss over the telephone the different options (?) and other questions I have. I don't get much satisfaction out of email, forums, etc. when it comes to purchases, etc. Please feel free to call us at our number listed in our profile if you would like and I will be more than happy to purchase advertising, elite membership, or whatever you have to offer. I like this site and want to be much more involved.
Thanks.

Yes, I would love to import my LinkedIn recommendations. They are highly trusted and I won't have to ask those people to write a 2nd recommendation. Yelp would be nice too but I don't seek recommendations there so don't do it on my account!
